Blog Summer17

So, as you know, I blogged this morning about what happened yesterday because yesterday, I didn't have time to blog. (Is that statement confusing?) Anyways, right now, mum's making dinner, my grandpa is trying to get a wasp out the window, dad is looking at a map he bought, my brother is in our room pouting over loosing a board game and I am blogging (duh!) Today was so much fun! After blogging in the morning, mom made us all breakfast egg toasts with juice. Although it wasn't the ideal breakfast, it was still really good. After eating, we washed up, packed up and walked down to the beach and just hung around for about 5 minutes. Then, we went on our way. Mum and dad had planned for us all to go to nearby places like Halfmoon Bay, Secret Cove etc. but we got extremely lost on the highway, so we just went to Sechelt. I won't go in detail about getting lost because that section of the day really isn't worth blogging for, so I'll talk about the part when we finally got to Sechelt. By the time we got there, it was around 12:45pm, so naturally we were all pretty hungry by then. But before we went to look for a restaurant, we went to the visitor center in the town square. There, my brother and I got some post cards for our friends and my parents looked at maps. (That was where my dad got the map he's currently looking at.) After about 15 minutes, we went to a nearby restaurant in Sechelt and had a really yummy lunch. The place we went to was called Village Restaurant. There, I had a 6oz steak with baked spaghetti and some garlic toast. I also ordered my usual drink, iced tea. I know what you must be thinking: how can she eat so much? Well, don't worry because I didn't finish it all. (That would be waaaaay too much for me!) But at the time I was exceptionally hungry and I almost finished it all.

After eating a really large meal, we were deciding whether to go to the community center's swimming pool or the nearby Davis Beach. In the end we picked Davis Beach and scheduled swimming for tomorrow. But before we headed off in the car again, my mom, brother and I went to the local gift shops to look at stuff. The most significant shop would have been the bead store. There, my mom bought an absolutely beautiful pair of earrings and 2 strings of petite, glass beads. I really liked the earrings, and although they were a bit on the pricey side, they are truly beautiful! After the miniature shopping spree, we headed off to Davis Beach.

At Davis Beach, I think my brother and I had the most fun. We first were a little timid and didn't really want to go into the water all that much, but after a while of seeing all those people have fun, we decided to toss our sandals to the side and hop into the water. We didn't go straight-out swimming because we didn't have our bathing suites handy, but seeing as we both were wearing shorts, we just waded in. It was sooooooo much fun and I really really really really wanna do it again. We picked up seaweed and flung it at each other, we jumped over the upcoming waves and we splashed around. I just loved the sensation of sand going between my toes. I don't know why, but I just love it so much! After a while, our parents called us in to wash our feet by the nearby tap and then we sat on the bench and ate some blueberries and nectarines. Yum! We also saw these people making amazing sand castles. Unfortunately, it was high tide, and soon, the castle was immersed in water. I thought that was too bad, because it actually looked pretty good.

Finally, when we were dried off, my brother and I threw a blueberry into the sea and watched it as it slowly went away. We threw the blueberry because we thought it would be kinda monumental and stuff. So we could remember it as a special moment and think back to it. Maybe even say, "Hey, remember when we threw the blueberry into the waters of Davis Beach?" After, we stopped by at the local Marketplace and bought some chicken drumsticks, lettuce, carrots, milk and other foods. And now, we're back at the cute little cottage.

My random thought/statement of the day: I LOVE VACATIONS!

Toddlez!
