Blog Summer25

Yeeees! I am finally done my piano exam, so I am extremely relaxed and content. However, the exam itself went far from perfect. Here's what happened: I did pretty well on my technical requirements and songs, but I totally bombed my sight reading, play back and clapping, so it's a possibility that I just passed... or even worse... failed. Okay, I know I'm being a little dramatic, but you should have heard my sight reading! The examiner had to stop me halfway because it was just so bad! But I'm trying not to worry about it because it's done and over! Okay, so I am still reliving the terrible moment, but it's okay because after a couple of days, I'll be fine!

Anyways, enough about my boring piano exam. After my exam, which took place yesterday, my grandpa, mom, brother and I went to Chinatown. Then, after that we went for lunch which consisted of noodles, congee and more noodles. After lunch, we went to this amazingly cool garden store, where my grandpa and mom bought some soil and grass seeds for the lawn and my brother and I looked at Venus Flytraps. And guess what? We got a Venus Flytrap! Aren't we just so lucky? I'm really happy because my brother and I have the responsibility of looking after it. We're hoping that we raise it really nicely and maybe our parents might agree to getting us a pet. Both my parents have had pets when they were young, but for some reason, my brother and I don't get pets. A little on the mean side, don't you think? But I guess they do have their reasons for not letting us get pets. Well, we were at the garden shop for a really long time, but my brother and I both got something we are now really excited about - a "pet".

Today, my family and I went to Krause Berry Farms to pick blueberries. It was just so awesome, and in the end, we picked about 13.4 kgs! Is that crazy or what? Krause Berry Farms is in Langley, and we had to drive for about an hour to get there, but I think it was totally worth it. It was really great, because we got to buy a lot of produce too. There were all sorts of veggies, and in the end we got some corn, green beans, zucchinis, potatoes, jams, a bar of honey soap, some pies and we also took some of their famous blueberry shortcakes home. I also loved their milkshakes. There is also this little patio area where you can buy some of their foods and eat it here. We had 1 strawberry milkshake, 2 blueberry milkshakes, 1 slice of their corn pizza, and 1 blueberry shortcake. In the end, the whole family had loads of fun. We really like that farm because they have amazingly sweet fruits, and they are pretty well known for their yummy fruit pies!

My random thought/statement of the day: I love their shortcakes!

Toddlez!
