Blog Term3 Day93

AHHHHHHHH! I hate worrying about finals. I know that I will probably do okay and I just have to stop being so negative but the truth is, I am super-duper nervous. Since this is the first year I would ever have taken finals, it is just really nerve-wracking and I don't know what to expect. Sure, the teachers talk about it, and I know all the guidelines, but it's still going to be very new. But then again, there has to be a first for everything! And my friends say that it's not as hard because it's multiple choice and that really helps. Another fact about me: I am very slow at taking tests. It's so weird because I always seem to be the last couple of people to finish a test or quiz and hand it in. Although I may be very slow, I think I have improved due to all the test-taking we do in high school. Before, I was really really really slow, but since we always have tests in high school, I have really improved. I guess practice makes perfect.

My random thought/statement of the day: I'm not too nervous about the stuff in the tests, but more about the time line. We only get an hour to complete each test which is a very short time in my world.

Blog Term3 Day92

When I had my piano lessons this afternoon, I was only half asleep and half awake. That's because I slept really late last night. I didn't want to sleep late, but because of the Chinese exam I had this morning, I didn't get enough sleep. That's why I am going to sleep at latest 10:30pm. For this past month, I haven't gotten enough sleep, so that is why I am planning on sleeping a lot tonight. I know that that will give me less time to study for my finals tonight, but sleep is more important. Although I have to study for my finals, I still have to finish some projects, so that is a real pain in the bum. I have about 2 major projects that have to get finished and some French homework. Okay, there isn't that much French homework, but it adds up, so technically, it's enough to give me less time to study.

My random thought/statement of the day: I am so nervous about finals because this is the first time I would have ever done it, so it's going to be a new experience.

Blog Term3 Day91

Okay, so today was very hectic since practically every class was devoted to a test and then review for the finals. I am really really nervous about the finals because this is the first time I would have ever done it. Apparently, all 4 tests are multiple choice, so that relieves some stress, but there is still a lot to study. In less than a week, I have to review everything I learned since September which is quite a lot. And I can't even start studying today yet because I have to devote all my time to study for my major Chinese exam tomorrow. My schedule is really crammed and I also have to get more sleep because I am clearly falling apart. So over the weekend, not only do I have to study lots for the finals, but I am also going to get a lot of sleep so I can recharge. I have already studied quite a bit, so now all I need to do is revise a little more, finish all my projects and sleep more.

My random thought/statement of the day: I love having a fan while the sun is out and burning.

Blog Term3 Day90

I am sooooooooooo tired! In fact, I am so sleepy, I would have fallen asleep ages ago if it weren't for the fact I haven't showered yet. Last night, I slept kinda late, so I guess that is the reason why I am half asleep at this moment. And I can't believe finals are in less than a week! I haven't actually done any major studying yet, so over the weekend, I really have to start. I think the main reason I haven't started to study for the finals is because there have been and will be many tests this week, and I have to study for them before I can move onto the bigger ones. This week, I think I have had a total of 4 tests and tomorrow, I have 3 more. So as you can see, this last full week of school has been hectic. I think the teachers are all trying to finish teaching us everything we will need to know for the finals, making it really crazy. Another thing is, I have my Chinese school finals this week, so I have a lot of major studying to do for that too. And so far, I haven't had much time to actually open the books to start.

My random thought/statement of the day: I am burning out really quickly. Not only am I not getting enough sleep, but the fact I am leaving all my studying to do at the last minute because I have to devote my precious time for other tests that are coming up is really getting to me. Even in class, I am half awake and half asleep which is very bad. It's mainly because I am caught up in a never-ending cycle and the only way for me to renew is when exams and school is finally over. Then, I can sleep more and recharge. But then again, I have less than a week before school is over so all I can do is hang in there and wait.

Blog Term3 Day89

Another hot day! Once I got home, I had to take a really long, freezing cold shower to stop the sweating. And wash all the sweat that already coated my body. Walking home really is good exercise! But don't worry, my blog isn't about the weather, but it's about the dissection we did today! In science, we dissected a cow eyeball. At first when I glanced at it, floating in the preservatives, I was truly disgusted and thought that it was really really really gross. Plus, it smelled really bad. But after examining it, I realized that it was truly amazing how each little part of the eye enabled an animal to see.

My random thought/statement of the day: Dissections are soooooooooooo cool! The only bad part is the smell and the fact the tools used for cutting the subject were really blunt.

Blog Term3 Day88

I am so disappointed! I didn't even get to go to the Middle Years play. I didn't even know about it until the class before the play. But when I did, I really wanted to go. But when I went to my next class, and asked the teacher if I could go, the teacher said no. We weren't allowed to go because we didn't have a field trip form of any sorts. I knew that the Middle Years 9s where doing a play, but I didn't know when. And unfortunately, I missed it. Not only did I want to go to watch the actual play, but I heard there were also many future Middle Years students that were there. And I really really really wanted to meet them in person. Unfortunately, I didn't even get to go. It seems as if practically everyone went or at least had a chance to go.

My random thought/statement of the day: URG!

Blog Term3 Day87

Today was such a hot day! It was sunny, sunny, sunny and I learned that I have to tie up my hair or else my neck will get really hot. Sometimes gaving a lot of long, thick hair has it's disadvantages. And when I walked home, I was sweating the whole way back. So once I got back home, I had to quickly dump my bag and all my other stuff into my room before taking a 10 minute long cold bath. Usually, I like to use super warm water, but today, I got really cold water. And it felt awesome! After that, I ate a small snack before taking a 2 hour long nap. I was only supposed to sleep for about half an hour, but for the past month, every teacher has been working us hard, and I also have loads of other extra curricular activities to do too, so my average hours of sleep have dropped by about 2 hours.

My random thought/statement of the day: Don't worry, I'm working on sleeping earlier.
